The Return of the Son of Man is Today

Luke 21:25-36

Each and every one of us face gray days (without sun), dark nights (without moon), disoriented sunrises (without stars) in our lives. Times when we find ourselves surrounded by resentful people who only know complain of everything and everyone, filling us the spirit with pessimism. The sea of sadness and the waves of bitterness catch us. The wind of anguish lashes our souls. We doubt, we lose our faith and we stop believing.
Instead of feeling you bad about it, you should remind to yourself God has promised you that in those moments He will send back to you his word made human as you, "the Son of Man", to make you free.
You could find him in your church or at the dive bar, at work or on the bus, at school or on the street, anywhere you least expect it. He will come to you in form of the lyrics of a song from the radio, in the dialogue from a TV show, in the lines of a borrowed book, in the story of a magazine from the waiting room, in the note of a forgotten newspaper on a bench at the park, in the advice of a friend, in the bleasing of the roses seller, in the thankful smile of a child who asked you a coin to buy something to eat.
Do not be upset about how badly things have gone in the past, but instead rejoice you at how well they will go from now on. Do not shirk your reality, use it to know where you need to start from and up to where you want to go.
The Return of the Son of Man for you is today.
